Early Compensability Assessments
ECA are completed right after an incident is reported. Early Assessment Assessments assists adjusters to determine compensability of claim during initial phase of injury, establishes an initial understanding, which may fit the profile of a long-duration injury. This allows for an early, accurate determination on appropriateness of care, further diagnostic testing and predicting longer-term patient needs, setting the groundwork for a medically-appropriate, cost-effective system of treatment. At the time of scheduling for the initial examination, a follow-up evaluation is scheduled so that the case can be closely watched during its preliminary stages.
Functional Capacity Exams (FCEs)
FCE is a comprehensive evaluation that is designed to determine a safe working capacity for patients. FCEs are an invaluable tool in providing an objective and complete assessment of an employee’s level of physical functioning, assesses strength, flexibility, fitness and the ability to perform work-related tasks. They may also assess a specific diagnosis, physical challenge, The impairment results provide valuable additional objective evidence when used in conjunction with an Independent Medical Evaluation
Medical Cost Projection
Medical Cost Projection allows you to set reserves in complex cases where multiple factors drive exposure, and complex medical and legal information needs to be considered. The Medical Cost Projection is designed to forecast reasonable and probable future medical exposure and establish a medically accurate basis on which to set reserves for workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and liability claims. By accurately forecasting future medical exposure, MCP is a valuable negotiation tool for settlement.
Disability Exams
Disability Exams provide a recent snapshot of a claimant’s conditions and various limitations. Consultative exams can be physical, psychiatric, or psychological in nature. They can also include ophtalmological exams, bloodwork, and x-rays.
